“Al hi’n fil dunya”
Hi’n is an arabic word that can be translated as love, compassion, and empathy all in one. And this saying is one I’ve heard much, especially on the occasion of death. It’s basically saying that that hi’n is only good now. Once people die, it means nothing. Going to visit a grave with a bunch of flowers once a year in memory or feeling regret and sadness for the time lost when someone you love dies is inconsequential. Inconsequential, and really too late.
How can you show them the h’in right now?
My ‘amoo Ali (brother to my father) passed away earlier today. I ask you to kindly remember him in your dua.

May Allah have mercy on him and illuminate his grave, ameen.
SubhanAllah, death is always a good reminder for the believers.
